Using as an example a recent paper from Facebook, I argue why we should still teach some classic machine learning approaches.

I describe my workflow for creating online lecture videos. My process is tied to an Android tablet and software running on Linux, but hopefully some of this should also translate to other platforms as well.

Assume there is a well-developed set of course videos developed by an experienced lecturer from a top university, and assume these videos are available for free. Why should I still make videos for the introductory machine learning course that I am teaching at our local university?
